Date Nights

One of the best things you can do as a couple is to have date nights. If you don't have kids, this is fairly easy. You just make a date and don't make any other plans. Easy as that. Maybe make reservations if they are called for.

If you have kids, you just have to do a little more planning. Making arrangements for them to sleep over at a friend or family member's house works well. This way you can have time to yourselves, you know your kids are in good hands, and the kids have fun. The important thing is for the kids to be SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This is where I think a lot of couples go wrong. You should love having your kids around, but grownups need their playtime too. What is the point of having a super-romantic evening and get all in the mood just to come home and relieve the baby sitter? You might be able to continue your romance. You might not. But having the kids somewhere else, you don't have to worry about them interrupting anything.

Kids are wonderful, but you don't want them getting up in the middle of the night and seeing you on the couch watching a dirty movie. Running around naked is out of the question as well. You have to worry too much when kids are in the house. You can never completely relax and let yourself go.

When you have your date night, decide on something special to do once you get home. You don't want to come home full of passion and then be drawing a blank on what the next step is. You can either decide with your partner, or you can decide something on your own and keep it to yourself until the time is right.

Massages are always good, as are adult movies and games. Whatever it is, it will be great fun for both of you. Remember that being spontaneous is good too! Having a plan keeps you from floundering, but don't get so stuck on the plan that you pass up something else fun.

If you really want to drive your lover crazy, wear something ultra-sexy under your clothes. Wear your lingerie all evening, and make sure he knows you have something naughty on. He doesn't necessarily need to know what it is; that is up to you. As long as he knows that you're wearing something he gets to enjoy later, he'll be thinking about it all night.
